Hi I am checking this site out. I understand it is a little right heavy and I will hopefully provide a little balance. I am a Strong civil libertarian and a member of the Democratic party. I hope that We can discuss things in a civil manor as I am hear to learn, and to debate topics on there merit.

Welcome to the board, and yes, it does have a slight right lean to it, but we have several liberals here already. You're not alone.

And civil debate is the only way we do it here. Unprovoked personal attacks and insults are not tolerated. This is strictly enforced, so enjoy yourself and feel free to express your opinion.
