Wal Mart Mobilizes Against Dems
Wal Mart knows full well that Dems are bad for business and they are getting ready for the war Dems will declare on Wal Mart
Wal-Mart warning managers of labor bill
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N) said on Friday it has held meetings with U.S. store managers warning them of issues that could arise if Democrats win power and pass a law that would make it easier for workers to unionize, but stressed it was not telling workers how to vote.
Wal-Mart opposes proposed legislation called the Employee Free Choice Act, which would make it easier for workers to unionize by signing a card rather than holding a vote.
"We believe EFCA is a bad bill and we have been on record as opposing it for some time," Wal-Mart spokesman David Tovar said. "We feel educating our associates about the bill is the right thing to do."
The Wall Street Journal reported that about a dozen employees who attended meetings in seven states said executives told them employees would be required to pay hefty union dues and get nothing in return, and warned that unionization could force Wal-Mart to cut jobs as labor costs rise.
The Journal report said Wal-Mart human-resources managers who run the meetings do not specifically tell attendees how to vote in November's presidential election, but they make it clear that voting for Democratic presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama would be tantamount to inviting unions in.

Wal Mart has also done a lot for China. Aside from groceries, not including meat, I don't shop there. Practically everything made in that store is from China. Fuck that.

My grandfather, who emigrated from Ireland, worked in a factory and always had a job, even during the 1930’s depression, because he could out-work anyone. When one company went under he went across the street and started working for their competition. He never joined a union and hated them until the day that he died.Noir wrote:god! kept the unions out! Ok, well that may have ticked his clock but it certainly doesn't tick mine, unions offer help and suppot to the lowest common denominator in big bussiness, it helps mobilize the workforce and ensure that the mere singal man can not have his voice smothered by the a company no matter it's size.
It is a unquestionable fact that the poor protect the wealthy in this world, what is the problem in the poor mobilizing to be able to protect themselves from the whims of big bussiness?

when I worked at that supermaximum prison in Boscobel, Wisconsin, I *HAD* to belong to the AFL-CIO, or I wouldn't have had a job. Altough that was supposed to be "illegal" to be "forced" to join, if you didn't, you got fired. They were WAY to powerful and rich from raping your wages to take them on. But, I did piss them off. I DEMANDED they NOT use ANY of my union dues for DEMOCRATIC PARTY PROPAGANDA. I demanded, IN WRITING, that my money be donated to my local churck. I HATE UNIONS. They protect LAZY fucking people that should otherwise be FIRED! I have no use for a union. If you don't like where you work... FIND ANOTHER JOB... and that's exactly what I did.

Workers should be free to protest and strike without fear of being fired, but unions can muscle a company right out of business.
Don't like where you work, quit. Find somewhere else to work.

You got that right. That's why my grandfather, my father, and I would never join one. Achievers get punished.
