Barack Obama may have quelled a self-described political "firestorm" by quitting Rev. Jeremiah Wright's controversial "black liberation" church, but the bombastic pastor is preparing to set off a bomb in the homestretch of the Democratic candidate's campaign.

Wright has an "October surprise" in store for Obama, reports New York magazine, with the launch of a publicity tour for his new book.

Highlighting the story in the UK's Spectator magazine, writer James Forsyth calls it a "huge problem for Obama," with the controversy over Wright's racial and anti-American sermons and his friendship with Obama "returning to the news agenda just as undecided voters begin to make up their minds."

The Obama campaign announced May 31 the senator's resignation from his 20-year membership at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago after months of political damage from repeated media airings of video clips from Wright sermons and probing into the church's radical race-oriented theology.

After Obama tossed Wright under the bus, the gloves were off. Wright called him a typical politican, and the feud was on

I knew hussein was a racist the first time around. Why is it going to take another episode provided by a book by the racist preacher wright to educate people?

I think that tye majority of voters have been educated, and will vote for McCain.

His once double digit lead over McCain is all gone. The liberal media is trying to rally the voters for him, and yet he is stuck in the polls

With the media's double digit losses in ratings they will do whatever they can to stir controversy. If they need to attack Obama to do that they will.

I think that no matter what they do at this point, it's all over for hussein. The liberal MSM has so over killed the coverage of him because they have shivers going up their legs, people are just sick of hearing about him, especially when they never hear anything worth listening to. The guy is a buffoon. The more he talks, the less he says. People are beginning to see that.

They ought to just shut the hell up about the fucker. It's their outrageous over exposure and coverage of him that people are sick of. They've done an extremely good job of showing everyone just what kind of a BUFFOON he really is.
